Knight’s Membership Drive
The Knights of Columbus were given the opportunity to speak after each of the masses on the weekend of September 28th - September 29th. Paul Balmforth spoke at the 4pm Mass, Joseph Tufo at the 8:00am Mass, and Brian O’Malley at the 10:30am Mass.
Their speech is reproduced in full here:
Ladies and gentlemen,
Thank you for joining me today. I stand before you as a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, an organization deeply rooted in the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.
Our order, founded on faith and service, has been making a profound impact in communities for decades. We are not just a group; we are a brotherhood united in our commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those around us.
In joining the Knights of Columbus, you become part of a rich tradition of giving back. Our charitable endeavors, whether supporting local schools, aiding disaster-stricken areas, or assisting those in need, reflect the core values that define who we are. But it's not just about charity; it's about unity. As Knights, we stand together, supporting one another in our faith and daily lives. It's a bond that extends beyond meetings and events; it's a lifelong connection that strengthens us as individuals and as a community.
Now, add patriotism to the mix. As Knights, we take pride in our nation and its values. We honor the principles that make our country great, and we actively contribute to its well-being. Through patriotic initiatives and community involvement, we demonstrate our dedication to the ideals that make our nation strong.
But our circle of service extends even further with the Columbiettes. Comprising the women of the Knights of Columbus, the Columbiettes play a vital role in our mission. They embody the spirit of charity, unity, and fraternity in their own unique way, enriching our shared efforts with their dedication and compassion.
As you contemplate joining our ranks, envision the satisfaction that comes from being part of something bigger than yourself. Imagine the joy of seeing the tangible results of your efforts, knowing that you have played a role in transforming lives and communities. Together, as Knights and Columbiettes, we can continue to build a legacy of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism that will resonate for generations to come.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to become a Knight of Columbus. I look forward to welcoming you into our brotherhood and celebrating the spirit of patriotism and community with the Columbiettes.
