The Counting Team

The Counting Team ministry, overseen by the Finance Council, is responsible for all mass collections. This includes donations for the
votive candles, poor box donations, anything collected at the 4 masses as well as any donation made to the office that
constitutes a weekly donation. On Holy days there may be additional collections. We continue to strive for two
counting teams on alternating Sunday afternoons (2-3:30pm). The
collections (cash and checks), are sorted, counted, double-checked and deposted. Training is provided.

Electronic giving
(egiving/myEoffering) is handled separately by staff. Staff is not involved in the counting process unless
an exception is required.
